He sent out his Word and healed them

Foundations of wisdom

Fear of the lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. -Proverbs 1:7

Wisdom calls to you

"How long, you simpletons, will you insist on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge? Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise." -Proverbs 1:22-23

And if I don't fear the Lord?

“When they cry for help, I will not answer. Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me. For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the lord. They rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected them. Therefore, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way, choking on their own schemes. For simpletons turn away from me—to death. Fools are destroyed by their own complacency. But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.” -Proverbs 1:28-33

"Better to have little, with fear of the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil." -Proverbs 15:16

"Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God." -Luke 12:21

But how?

"Cry out for insight and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasure. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God." -Proverbs 2:3-5

"If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking." -James 1:5

"And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." -Luke 11:9-10

"Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge." -Proverbs 18:15

"Joyful are those who listen to me, waiting for me daily at me gates." -Proverbs 8:34

"To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction." -Proverbs 12:1
